A short explanation of what MoJerk stores, what it does not track, and what may still be logged by normal hosting infrastructure.

Privacy, but make it MoJerk.

MoJerk is a tiny parody project. We built it to be funny, not to be nosy.

What we don’t do

• No ad networks.
• No third-party trackers, pixels, or analytics scripts on the site itself.
• No selling your data (we’d have to collect it first).
• No tracking cookies set by MoJerk.

What the server may log anyway

Like most websites, the server or hosting provider may automatically keep basic web-server logs for security, uptime, and troubleshooting. Those logs can include your IP address, the page requested, a timestamp, your browser or user-agent, referrer data, and an HTTP status code.

We don’t add extra profiling on top of that, and we don’t use those routine logs to build advertising profiles or follow you around the internet.

What stays in your browser

If you click Dark/Light, we save your theme choice in localStorage so the site remembers it on your device until you change it or clear site data in your browser.

MoJerk also uses sessionStorage for in-browser features like recent-search callbacks, mood state, and suggestion behavior during your current tab session. That information stays in your browser, not on a MoJerk account, and ordinarily disappears when the tab or session ends.

If you use the site’s Clear MoJerk session control, it clears MoJerk’s current in-browser session data for this site. Clearing site data in your browser can also remove localStorage and sessionStorage for this site. Your browser’s own history, autocomplete suggestions, or other browser-managed records may be handled separately by your browser.

Links and contact forms

If you click through to another website (for example Mojeek or Sparrow Studios), their privacy practices apply there, not ours.

If you use the Sparrow Studios contact form to reach a human about MoJerk, the information you submit is handled through that external site and its providers.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. If we do, we’ll change the date at the top and keep the vibe the same.
